Finding nearby people does not mean you need to publish your exact location. Review the app’s location-sharing controls and choose the level of detail that makes sense for each situation. Friends Map is a separate feature for sharing with your people, included with a free account.
For a first meetup, choose a populated public place, keep your own transportation, and tell someone you trust about your plans. Reporting and blocking tools are available when a conversation or profile raises a concern.

Do I have to share my exact location?

What can I do about unwanted contact?
Use the in-app Block control and report concerning profiles, messages, or content. For an immediate threat or emergency, contact local emergency services.
